Franco Benevento Academy Director of Coaching
Coach Franco, who holds his national USSF B Badge, is a former professional player in Italy and the U.S with the New York Cosmos. He has over 20 years of coaching experience including the semi-professional team San Jose Frogs FC where he led the team to a second place finish and a playoff appearance in the inagural year. Coach Franco then coached the Academy's Senior Team to a Championship appearance in the National Premier Soccer League. |

Aaron Castro Academy Director and Senior Team General Manager
Coach Aaron is the former General Manager of the USL PDL SAN JOSE FROGS F.C. and holds a USSF National D Coaching Badge. Aaron played varsity soccer for James Lick High School in East San Jose. In addition to coaching and training some of the best young athletes in the Bay Area, he also sought out local talented Latino players that fell through the cracks of youth soccer and helped to provide opportunities where none existed prior. Many of these players have gone on to excel in club, high school, and collegiate soccer. |

Aaron Castro Jr. Youth Coach
Coach Aaron,
who holds a NSCAA Regional Diploma, is in his second year coaching at PSA. Last year he was an assistant coach with Coach Mike Karr as well as working full time in the Recreational Soccer Program. |

David Frank Senior Team Head Coach
Coach David graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 2006 with a degree in Business Management and Economics. In 2004 Dave helped to lead the Slugs to an appearance in the NCAA Final Four and a National Runners Up finish. In 2006 he captained the Slugs to a 21-2 record and an appearance in the NCAA tournament's round of 16. In addition to his successful college career, David has starred for the Semi-Professional San Jose Frogs, and spent some time playing with Arminia Bieiefeld of the German Bundesliga and with the Houston Dynamo Reserve team. He has coached for the Santa Cruz County Breakers Youth Soccer club for 3 years, Harbor High School girls varsity team as head coach and is the Director of the Catalyst Soccer Player Development Program in Santa Cruz and Monterey County. He currently holds an NSCAA National Diploma. |

Mike Karr Founder and CEO
Coach Mike started the Academy in 2003 in order to combat the over 60% drop out rate of youth players after the age of twelve years by creating a professional soccer environment while adding the field space needed so more kids can play and enjoy the game. Coach Mike
has been instructing players at several levels for many years including youth, high school, Olympic Development Program, college and semi-professional. Mike was the Head Coach of the Academy's senior team that won the 2008 league championship. Mike is the former San Jose Frogs Goalkeeper Coach and Prospect High School Varsity Boys Coach where he won back to back championships earning him BVAL Coach of the Year Award. He holds a NSCAA National Youth Coaching Diploma and BA in Secondary Education. |

Chris Salcido Youth Coach
A native of the Bay Area, Coach Chris has moved back from Arizona where he was coaching in the Sereno Soccer Club. Previously, Chris has worked as an Assistant Director of Player Developement in the Dorados Youth Academy in Los Mochis, Mexico and as a Head Coach in the Nomads Soccer Club in San Diego, CA. Before leaving the Bay Area, Chris coached the boy's varsity team at Prospect High School and was a NorCal ODP Evaluator. He holds a USSF National C Badge, NSCAA National Youth Coaching License and a BA in Sports & Medicine from San Fancisco State University where he played for four years. |

Younan Sarkis Youth Coach
Coach Younan, who holds his USSF State D Badge, has been coaching youth soccer in the Bay Area for over fifteen years at the recreational and competitive levels where he has won many league championships. Younan is in his second year of coaching with PSA. |
